Stanford grad, top corner in the league for years. Made millions and was making commercials. I know the DB's looked up to him, he cost us a couple of shots at the SB. He was the most hated opposing player when he was with the Seahawks. When he came here he was embraced. Can't figure it out.
What a sad way to go out for him. Clearly his free agency isn't working out too well for him so that couldn't have helped the situation.

Yeah, but he's made a lot of money - it can't be that bad.

That's a stretch, he cost us one shot.

These types of manifestations in life for instance is the culmination of the disappointments and frustration of two time Super Bowl loser. I saw these things happened to some 49ers players who lost the Super Bowl, which to death. Football is the type of sports that you give it your all/sacrifice to the max for the ultimate goal as a team and if you failed to win it all, it is like catching a terminal disease. No end in sight!

I am just afraid of a lot of the young 49ers players who already list once. They must and have to win it all the next time around to avoid such ultimate demise.
Sherman won a SB with Seattle though...

Take it easy. It's not cool to be a tough guy behind the keyboard.

Of the two of us, friend, I was not the party acting like the tough guy so if you're curious I'd advise you to look in the mirror to find that guy.

I merely corrected your baseless and erroneous assertion based upon a myopic world view.

But it's okay, I get that when it comes to domestic violence nuance is beyond the capacity of some to comprehend.

While it is true that some things are clearly black or white, they are more often than not usually grey.

In enough of these instances it is a male being physically, or emotionally (or what-have-you) abusive. These males are not men.

There are too many examples of false accusations for me to blindly assume one side or the other is the victim.

The accuser can just as easily be the perpetrator as the victim. In this Sherman instance there is a lot to unravel and I do not have the details.

Perhaps you do. Is there actually accusation of physical harm perpetrated by the accused?

I asked because apparently according to you DV is automatically without question a male being violent against a female.

Move on, both. Thank you.
Just don't fight the cops, and that intent was even premeditaded per his wife's 911 call. Sherman wants an NFL front office career after his playing days, but that can't happen if you do this. Just go quietly and fight it out in court. He'd probably be fine. Fighting armed men of authority carries a high probability you will get hurt, it likely makes you a fellon, and it shows the whole world you can not be trusted with a position of cerebral leadership and responsibility.

CTE. When your brain decides for itself you're just out of luck.
I hope this doesn't define him, he's too good of a guy. I also hope he really isn't depressed or suicidal.

Sherman was probably closer to having an episode then fighting the cops. Sherman has been fairly pro-cop in the past, and at least one do the stories that have come out of this involved a police officer calming him down and talking him into custody. That normally doesn't follow being the hell out of a cop.
