Think about it, if this was you personally, would you be let go without bail?

I know you're upset but he was getting out either way.

I'm not to upset with Sherm honestly. I would probably do everything i could to get out of jail as well. What bothers me is how the "woke" are suddenly missing when a person of color gets privilege. It's hypocrisy.

You clearly recognize "white privilege" based on your post, as you stated; "WHEN a person of color gets privilege".

Now just think, if a minority is getting that same privilege. That would be called equality, right?

Woke folks are looking for equality or equity, so there is no need to make a fuss when things are equal.

It sounds like Sherman is really frustrated that he hasn't been signed by anyone and the realization that his career might be over is setting in.

Really? Specifically what about this whole thing that makes you conclude that?

Getting drunk and acting the way he did indicates a very unhappy and unstable person. I've heard that he still wants to play but teams aren't rushing to sign him. Players react differently when they see the writing on the wall and realize that their career might be over. Some can accept it but others have a hard time adjusting. I don't know for sure what his state of mind is but this scenario is certainly a possibility.

All of that sounds good. But you didn't say what it was I speculated about.

Lmao, Chicago thinks that education about abuse leads to more women accusing men of rape. It's not surprising he is blaming wife and her family and claiming he should divorce her (even though it seems like Sherman is the one facing the possible divorce).

Sherman seems to have no ill will towards his family and seems quite remorseful so not sure why he's so angry at these people he doesn't even know lol. Bad look disparaging the wife and family without knowing the details, especially in light of what has come out imo

He needs to take some anger management classes.

Unless things are already far more equal than the "woke" want to admit so they can continue to play the victim card. In fact, it seems the way the woke stay fueled up is being in a constant state of anger with everything and denying all progress or case studies that could take that rage away.

Yes I did. You highlighted the part about being frustrated about not being signed. I'm guessing he is since he wants to play. Frustration and seeing the end can come crashing down on some people. Some might turn to alcohol and other sto drugs. This is all speculation since none of us knows what set him off.

This could have - and should have - been handled within the family. I feel this was a ploy with his wife's family. He needs to divorce her NOW!!

I can hardly watch that video. The owner is begging for cash in every other sentence. Instant turn off.

Which is the reason I said start the video at 21:05. "Reading is fundamental"

is that guy for real? He's clearly only looking at this situation from one point of view.

"Richard Sherman is not a big guy" smh I stopped listening right at the point.

Maybe so, but the police did not have to be called. With the relationship between law enforcement and Black men have calling the police on Richard Sherman could have cost him his life. She sided against him with her family. It says a lot to me that he's been with this woman for 10 years, but they married only 3 years ago. I cannot speak for no other community, but in the Black community (for the most part) the police isn't called unless there is a REAL life threatening issue, and this wasn't it.

The father-in-law have been knowing this man for 10 years. The fact that he pulled a gun tells me that there's a large back story to this. From what I've learned, the suburb where they live is quite expensive to live, so I'm sure Richard Sherman paid for that. For the police to be called on him tell me a lot about that family, and his wife.

He should have never married her.

Well you have it all figured out don't you

Lmao, Chicago thinks that education about abuse leads to more women accusing men of rape. It's not surprising he is blaming wife and her family and claiming he should divorce her (even though it seems like Sherman is the one facing the possible divorce).

Not gonna argue (reargue) points from other, unrelated, threads that some people are just too intellectually challenged to actually adequately debate. After all, some people's brains short-circuit when their "f" word (not the cuss word) conditioning is confronted with logic, facts, data, and statistics. But I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't be so presumptuous as to tell other people what I think. Such presumption is the height of arrogance, a notable side effect of the "f" word conditioning.

Now, in terms of "blaming the wife", I "blame" her for not managing things between her birth family and the family her and Richard created. I'm married. In a marriage it is the responsibility of each spouse to keep their individual families in check, or keep a healthy distance. Situations like this occur ONLY when one spouse isn't managing family relationships properly, and it reaches a boiling point like this, or there's an underlying agenda somewhere.

So, if I were advising Richard Sherman I'd tell him to retire from the NFL, hire a team of lawyers, protect his assets as much as legally possible from child support and alimony, and get 50-50 parenting time with his kids.

Richard Sherman needs to cut his losses before this gets worse.

Maybe Covid and his employment situation exacerbated it.

Making a leap by labeling him an alcoholic

His wife said he drank two fifths of liquor before driving. That is problem drinking for sure.

I bet I would because, like Shermam, I am a low risk for flight.
