Knows the system, savvy vet. Can make up for a lack of speed with smarts, but for how long? I think we don't have a choice, at this point.

He's a slow 33 coming off a season ending injury. He was already suspect last year with the executive decisions he was taking on a contract year. He's done as a CB starter in this league IMO.
Now if he's willing to come in cheap and compete for play time that's one thing but I think part of the reasons he's unsigned outside of the domestic abuse issues are his potential demands on play time and salary.

You know he still has something in the tank if he can bulldoze through a Masonite steel black on black slate painted door and fight off a trained Labrador.

And the backups blew the lead and almost cost us the game.
also jv blew his knee out on a simple misstep which means he was tearing his knee sooner or later.

Can Sherman even play right now due to the off-field issue? Not sure how the NFL is considering Sherman's case and if/when he can return.
