Originally posted by Kolohe:If the Niners wanted him on the roster then why didn't they re-sign him during the off-season before his incident? They've drafted 2 corners, signed multiple veteran CB's. You want your fiery 30 something CB? Josh Norman is it. He also appears to be fine after his lung scare. He's playing A-okay.

I just love his leadership when he is out there on the field and the defense just looks more confident with him. I would love for the 9ers to make some kind of a trade but what do they even have to offer?? It's definitely slim pickings on the street right now, the only names that come to mind are Quinton Dunbar and Pierre Desir. If anything put Dre Kirkpatrick in the line up, what else to they have??
His leadership isn't going to prevent him from getting burnt on go routes by the likes of DeSean Jackson and Lockett
How do you know he'll get burnt and what DB on the 9ers DOESN'T get burnt?? You guys need to come up with new stuff instead of new screen names.
The Niners had every opportunity to re-sign Sherman and didn't. This regime had him on the roster for 3 years if they wanted him back they would've prioritized to do so.
Ohh and I've been on the Webzone for 10 years this isn't a new account or whatever the hell you're talking about. I just haven't contributed. But go ahead you've been here since 04, feel free to hold your nose up high about it. But I've been here plenty long so try a new slant bro
Why why why?? 49ers were in talks and have kept in touch and haven't ruled it out. You can tell they were trying to get younger at the position but inexperience and injuries have put a kink in their road. And yes Norman is playing well and reports came back negative on his injury but I wouldn't take any chances on internal bleeding. I'd rather they rest him for a week or two. Lets also not forget K'Wuan is injured too and Moseley isn't exactly the healthiest CB on the roster either.
Like I said earlier what CB on the roster hasn't been burnt, try a new slant bro.
And your account has been on the Webzone for 10 years, it doesn't mean you don't have another handle. And you being so defensive about it tells me all I need to know.
Anyway, our CB's have been playing well up until last night. In regards to our CB's getting burnt that'll happen when you play against the reigning MVP and arguably the best WR in the league with little to no pressure up front. The ball was coming out at at an average of 2.5 seconds from one of the most accurate QB's of all time. It's going to happen. And more than likely It would've happened with Sherman out there. Because frankly we got out coached. But that's another discussion. And you'd rather Norman rest a week or two? Okay give Shanahan and the trainers a call and tell them that. I'm sure they'll appreciate your input.
But Mosley is out there now. Norman, according to you, will be back in a week or two. So which roster spot are you going to compromise to bring him on board?
Anyway at the end of the day if they sign Sherm they sign him. I'll be rooting for him. Hell If we lost Tart or Ward for an extended period of time, I would love for him to take over back there. I think he would thrive. But at CB, I just don't see it until we have a season ending injury. Either way I'll root for him if he's on the roster
Lastly, you attacked my account first sir! Lmao of course I'm going to defend myself to something you claim that isn't true. But going back and forth with you about it is pointless. Go ahead and believe whatever you want to believe.
The "why why why" comment because I knew you would ask why. lol
Lenoir and Norman have been playing good, no doubt. But Moseley is inconsistent and injury prone, Dontae Johnson is burnt toast every time he steps on the field and Dre Kirkpatrick is no better than Dontae Johnson which is why he can't rise above the depth chart over him. I love how you continue to disagree with me just to disagree, you can't tell me the defense isn't better when Sherman is on the field with them. And you're so worried about Sherman getting burnt all the time, yet he's on the plane right now possibly signing with the reigning Super Bowl Champions.
And yes, just to be cautious I would rest Josh Norman for a week or two, it's just my opinion on that. Obviously you know better just cause reports came back negative, you must cough up blood in the hospital all the time, hey maybe you should call Shanahan and the trainers and tell them Norman is gonna be fine.
Hey be careful when having two screen names you don't wanna accidentally quote yourself.....seen it happen all the time. Hahaha!!!

Yea they are in Super Bowl or bust for the next year or 2 until it falls apart. We build slow and aren't a Sherman away from a super bowl IMO.

Yes we are. GB has been in the NFCG two years in a row and we were obviously competitive with them despite injuries to our top 5 RB's and half of our back 7.
We're not in Win Now mode because next year we'll have a QB on a rookie contract but we should still be trying to get as many as we can before we have to pay Bosa QB money.

I'll be sure to be careful I guess? Curious to know who you think I am. because tbh this is no ones burner.

Also in this thread I learned that we had no intent on competing for a Super Bowl and all the talk from media, coaches, players, and fans was really meant for year 2025 when we will be attempting to get to a SB again.
We have Dontae Johnson, no need for Richard
