This makes absolutely no sense
Good enough for the defending world champs but not good enough for the team who hasn't won squat since Super Nintendo's were popular
Donte Whitner made a good point of one of the main benefits of signing Sherm... he would be like a second coach on the defense....on the sideline and on the field.

He knows this defense more than anyone on this team. Could have been beneficial for Ryans.

Unless of course Ryans is the type that worries about authority....and Kyle was worried he couldn't handle Sherm.

But that shouldn't make sense.. because you worry about the team long term first and foremost...

now a days, if a team does well...their DCs or OCs, leave for HCing positions anyway...hell after one season for some. So you can't be worried about feelings.

Really? Sherman could come in and screw up chemistry, given his attitude we've seen. I think it's reasonable to consider that.
Josh Norman to our CBs.

We have Dontae Johnson, no need for Richard
Yep that's how the front office viewed it to apparently. Also in this thread I learned that we had no intent on competing for a Super Bowl and all the talk from media, coaches, players, and fans was really meant for year 2025 when we will be attempting to get to a SB again.

I assume you are being sarcastic. Don't tie me in with that crowd, as I think we are set up as contenders this year and for many years to come. A lot of football left to play and Sherman would have been a nice addition considering all the injuries and issues we are having at CB. Every time Johnson checks in the game the opposing QB throws at the guy he is covering. If we are in the works to trade for Dantzler or Gilmore, then great.

Yeah good point! He might try to teach the DC how to call coverages that DON'T lose us games.....
He'd probably get injured in his first game with us knowing our luck.
Welp.

Thank god they didn't re-sign Sherman, now we can get more snaps for Dontae Johnson and Dre Kirkpatrick. And I'm pretty sure Buster Skrine was just waiting to sign with a contender right. This is some b******t going on right now!!!!

I'm f**kin hating this defense right now, and people wanna b***h about Jimmy G..
We must be going full rebuild with our secondary. Also I wonder if anyone who hates this also wanted Sherman gone last year. Never missing an opportunity to dog the team.

He's a Tampa Bay Buc with Tom Brady now.

We could have had Brady & Sherm
