all those clowns claiming Lynch for not bringing him back, would now be blaming Lynch for signing injured players lol
Some players like Jim Brown and Barry Sanders retire at the top of their game. Then we have others that hang on too long. Sherman's one of those.

Yes.
Not surprised. These older players coming off their couches seemingly always get hurt. I mentioned this last year before signing Ezekiel Ansah. Their bodies, irrespective of how long they've played in the NFL, aren't calloused for football.

Bill Walsh was sometimes criticized for his policy of trading/releasing older players before they began that endless cycles of injuries. His position was that while you might get another productive year out of an aging player, it would be taking up a roster spot that could be better used for developing a younger player. With the exception of Lott and Rice, it worked pretty well for Bill. In the case of Sherman, Lynch appears to have followed Walsh's advice.
He's old and his body type was great in his youth, but deteriorates even faster as taller people get older-Let alone athletes.

Hopefully his mental headspace isn't on the suicidal front . He would be a great coach. ..............better than the bs we got going here on our secondary that's for sure.

I'd agree with this if Donte Johnson wasn't taking up a roster spot

Johnson is an above-average Special Team player. Sherman couldn't play ST.
