Bump because I just found out something weird about him that I never knew:
He was First Team All Pro in 2012... and didn't make the Pro Bowl. LOL what is this?
As you were.

I'd say he got the better end of the deal. Would much rather be an All-Pro than a Pro Bowler.

I miss Sherm, watching him on TNF is so great, he absolutely loves the 49ers, and he's a good dude, that trash talking was on field only, but I miss seeing 25(Sherm) out there, I know he lost a step at the end, but he was still a #1 CB IMO.

Strangest thing how he went from the guy I hated most in the NFL to a guy I genuinely like.

Makes me wonder if he grew up a fan or something.

You guys see Marshawn try to call out Sherman for his lack of loyalty to Seattle? Sorry Marshawn but Sherm doesn't owe you guys anything. That team and fanbase should kiss the ground Sherm walks on for that hell of a play he made against us. And Sherm is right: Seattle cut him, and the Niners took him in with open arms and he almost won a second ring with us.
So yeah, STFU Marshawn…the town may love you but not the rest of the bay.

I thought the same, and answered with this reply on X/Twitter:
"It's never been said, but it's possible he grew up a Niner Fan - went to Stanford, and basically played ball in their backyard
I think what pushed him over the top and turned him into Darth Sherman, was when Harbaugh told Sherm he would draft him,
and then left him hanging"
This link was the reply to my post
After reading the article his hatred of the Niners, and why he played them the way he did made more sense.

I will support the teams I played for. You need to remember we brought the city that Championship not vice versa. So I will support both the 49ers and the Seahawks. Acting like you gave me something like I owe something.

You need to appreciate the team that brought you that… https://t.co/TjXizm5mSg

There was a segment on Undisputed a couple of weeks ago, and Skip says "Sherm I thought you were a Seattle guy??". And Sherm replied "I am a Seahawks and a 49ers guy. BOTH of those teams changed my life for the better, and helped me take care of my family". Mad respect for that. I admit I hated the dude when he was in Seattle, because he did so much damage - and trash talking - to us! But it's really hard not to like the guy.

Buccaneers paid some of his bills, took, but barely remember doing so.
