It is actually criminal to have a 2 W team thru 10 games and not be playing every single one of our PS guys to find out if there is some talent there...or not...if not, then clean house.

PHX pretty well summed it up . Top flite guy, great experience, JL knows him well and personally....plus we see his product on a 0-16 team with the Lions. Per PHX, with Peters, JL, HC, and now Mayhew, this can only be a superb addition. Lord knows we need it. I do hope that drafts are collective and everyone agrees with the pick, not just HC . All picks really should be this way...and that goes for FA too.

hey Kerley worked out and so did Laken.
And we dumped Brandon Thomas on them, so I would say we have done well.

Really can't just single out MM. It's the whole collective that have had issues identifying talent

They've missed on some, some haven't hit their stride yet, some are doing very well. "Sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes the bear eats you."

Really? I can agree with rookies and other seldom used young guys on the 53. But PS guys? These are guys not even ready to play. They are on the PS for a reason. I'll say that playing Pita would make the most sense (he's had almost 2 full years and gone through 2 camps). If he can't make enough impact to be a backup, we can cut ties. But who else resembles that?

As a personnel exec, your claim to fame has to be more than a Nickle CB and a RG. Has to be.
He turned the 0-16 Lions into an okay team.

Now there are two VPs of Player Personnel.
Maybe Peters focuses on what could be and Mayhew focuses on how to get there.
That might provide some balance in the war room.

It was stated in one of the articles that one is more involved in the college scouting side of things and the other is more involved in the pro scouting side. I doubt their roles are changing very much from what they've been. This seems more like Lynch throwing him a bone, which involves a title change and bump in pay more than anything.
