I dunno, we will probably never know.....but Saleh was asked by the league to wear the patch, as were other players and coaches. You had flags from allover the world Ireland, Canada...etc...etc....

This is a catch 22, NFL wants international marketshare, but some Countries are not like the others.

I have no idea if Johnson has connections in Israel, but he at least partially represents Johnson and Johnson....I could see why he would have issue with rocking a flag of a nation that is randomly lobbing missiles at the civilians of another nation, especially when said misses are in support of terrorist that invaded another nation and murdered several thousand civilians.

On the flip side...dude...the NFL ASKED Saleh to wear the patch...so I dunno....

no I do not...I can only parrot what I have read today....

What I read today was Saleh was wearing the patch because he was asked too....

as in...this was not a political statement Saleh is making, he is doing what was asked of him....

I could get an owner wanting to control the message of his team, if the flag infact had anything to do Saleh being let go.....

Lord knows Saleh should have been on thin ice with his record..... rightly or wrongly......

I Personally think, Woody did not want to risk letting Saleh get to .500 with a key win over the Bill this week.

It would have been much harder (in the media) to unseat Saleh, with a .500 club that just beat the Bills....something that would be possible, though maybe not likely.

The more acclimated Rodgers got with the team, the more likely it is for Saleh to post a winning record this year....

So to me...I think Johnson wanted to make this move, he took the easy excuse to make this move, and he feared it would get harder to make this move if the team showed improvement going forward.

Of course, I am making assumptions about it, and I really am not well versed on it....but hey...it is the internet....and this is what we do.

Owner said it was his decision and his alone. Maybe, wouldn't surprise me if he's covering for AR making some kind of big stink. I don't know, really comes off as just a knee-jerk reaction IMO. They're only one game out of their division lead in a pretty winnable AFCE, even considering Buffalo. Pats and dolphins both dumpster fires ATM so just seemed like a pretty irrational firing. Their defense ain't the problem either, Rodgers kind of playing like s**t.

Come on now. AR. I'm not reporting to camp until I'm ready. I'm not going to play preseason. I don't like Saleh. The writing who runs this ship obvious. He's turned into a bigger dick then BF ever was.

Rodgers probably had something to do with it but let's not act like Saleh wasn't a garbage head coach that mishandled nearly every situation he was given. He wasn't suddenly going to flip a switch and become a good head coach. He basically ruined everything he touched.
