Lol the excuses are tiring. He was never a good coach, ever. He completely botched the Zach Wilson fiasco on his part as coach(not all his fault but the way he handled the situation), his offenses were garbage even with Rodgers. He had a good chunk of talent on both sides of the ball and didn't do anything with it. Literally anything.
Seems like he has the entire world as a chance and he failed massively. His current team is pretty stacked just as they were the last 2 years. The team was no better with Rodgers than with Zach. The entire team was garbage.

Saleh isn't as bad of a head coach like you make him out to be. Aside from Zach Wilson is drafts aren't all that bad. He got at least half of his team right on the defensive side. His problem is that he couldn't get the offense to go hand in hand with the team as a whole. And when he tried to, his HOF QB they signed turned out to be a weirdo and an arrogant prick. Give Saleh Brock Purdy and I bet that team is in better shape.

Im not sure he had full control of the Wilson situation- meaning he didn't have a say if Wilson started or not. If he did, then he botched it by sticking with him for so long. Why do you think he botched it?
As for Rodgers, he's played poorly. And the entire team is far from garbage. The defense is 5th in points and 2nd in yards with virtually no help from the offense. If we had that defense, we'd be undefeated and would be favorites to beat down the Chiefs.
Back to back bad OC hires and bad QBs. He's gotta fall on the sword because he is the head coach, but the reality is I'm not sure how much control he had of the situation and based on the Jets history in the last 20 years, Robert Saleh isn't even in the top 5 of things that's wrong with that team.

Saleh didn't pick out Wilson,...which is part of the micromanagement fiasco that the Jets have been for quite awhile.
Just about al the QBs that year were bad and Wilson's a symptom,...not a cause.
The Muckety guy can pretend he is excellent at measuring coaching quality,....but I wont pretend like he is that I am some excellent measurer of coaching talent that should be in NFL headquarters.
What I'll do is simply state the obvious problem the Jets have that is much bigger than any 1 coach. Unless they're some best friend of the owner, HCs aren't even given true authority in areas they need it the most.

Meh, I've been calling out his terrible coaching for years. His dismal record proves me right. I mean he's accomplished literally nothing. Literally nothing.... I understand people have feels for the guy but he's a terrible head coach. Sorry but not sorry. He's had plenty of talent and done nothing. But I'm a ears if you want to enlighten me exactly what good he's done.

Except Aaron Rodgers is garbage. Salahs defense played well having to cover up a 40 year old man child throwing tantrums all the time

Maybe Saleh just isn't a HC. Not everyone is cut out to be the head guy just because they know how to coach a certain segment. The HC has a lot more responsibilities than just Xs and Os. In game decisions involve more than calling the right play every time.

But you're literally looking at a record to try and prove your point. By your logic Bill Belichick was a s**tty coach too, if you're going off their first three years as a HC, only thing is Belichick had a decent QB running the offense.

I wouldn't go off a HC's first stint or first three seasons as the determining factor.

Would love him back to rebuild the defense. He's taking time to himself which is wise. He basically will get to pick his job next year.
