I'll go a step further and say that even some positions are hybrid like linebacker and safety. As tight ends are becoming big WRs who can block, linebackers are becoming safeties who stop the run and cover down the field.

Yup! Lynch was saying the same thing in an interview on 49ers.com. The way the league is trending, its almost becoming positionless. There's a lot of hybrid players running around who can do multiple things. You have to be able to do that nowadays.
So all those fans that wanted us to switch to 4-3 even back in the Fangio days get what they wanted?

Armstrong, Bowman and Harold are not a bad trio of LB's in a 4-3. Armstrong could really shine in this D if he can stay healthy and I think Harold will be a better 4-3 OLB than 3/4 and could be a Bruce Irvin type for us..... I do expect us to draft two LB's in the first 4 rds

Buck is a better pass rusher than AA, I'd switch them.

He is, which is why in this defense he'd be better suited at 3-tech DT rather than DE imo. The 3-tech will get opportunities to rush the passer form the interior, he's your premier interior player. The strong side DE is more of a run defender, if he can pass rush thats great, but its not a necessity in the base defense.
Sofa is right, best pass rusher in a 4-3 is your 3t DT.

Defo plays 3t.

He was born in Dearborn, MI, so he should have a passport.

No pun intended - his brother was at the WTC on 9/11 and got out.

While coaching was always his dream, after college, he started working for Comerica Bank World Headquarters, where he was earning a six-figure salary. For many, the more logical choice would have been to stay with the company, but Saleh had bigger goals.
He says his brother was in the twin towers on 9/11, and although he got out safely, the whole ordeal made him more eager to fulfill his dreams.

Y'all. These coaches aren't going to put Buckner, Armstead or anybody else in a position simply because "it's their scheme". Kyle's entire philosophy is to put players in the best position to succeed. I would imagine he hired a DC who thinks the same way.

Yup, and looking at the history of this defense, specifically Seattle, they have been highly flexible adapting to the players on the d-line and letting them do what they do best.
I am curious how they will draft defense now in May.

Forgot to mention that if we do in fact play the same cover 1/3 press/bail concepts Seattle utilizes, expect Rashard robsinson to have a very good season. I feel that his traits and game really lends itself to that type of scheme.
