Seems like a hire because there is no one left. Probably end up being a 1 year hire where we can find a more qualified candidate next offseason. Not a big deal since this year is year 1 in the rebuild.
Right VaBeachNiner. It was getting read so I posted.. LOL. ARM CHAIR QBS are fun to read posts from when there positive. Being negative a lot of the time is counter productive. I do like reading an example and alternative way that thingshe could have happened vs the always anti player, play, coach crap that goes on here in the forums

From the day Kyle was hired this guys name was in the mix. They did interviews late last week and made the decision.

The guys been around the league so he's seen a few things. I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with unemployed coaches. They're usually unemployed for a reason.

can see Tartt - Bow - Ray-Ray at LB

we have serious size up front allowing us to go smaller and more athletic at LB - protect them and let them play hard and fast

I think tartt is not the answer at safety, he had a season to prove himself and disappointed , also I guess this signing couldn't be any worse than jim O'Neil was

He is needed for the robber we don't have anyone to play the high safety. Ward is not fast enough. Tarrt would be a great robber

It looks like the redskins might be looking for the same thing?

"All facets of the Redskins defense which finished ranked 26th overall out of 32 teams could use a talent boost. The defensive line needs versatile playmakers. The linebacking core needs more speed and athleticism. Finally, the secondary specifically the safety position needs playmakers."

"His versatility could be just what the Redskins need to man the deep middle of the field."

Dont worry like the rest, you will change your mind once you understand the type of player he is.

QBs may not have an easy time throwing over their heads / middle of field

They should use those long arms to block FGs.

YES!!

we need to address the nose tackle. we should target brandon williams or jonathan hankins. maybe poe.
draft josh augusta
3tech-buckner, armstead, blair ane even lynch can play there
4i/5 tech-armstead, dial, possible rookie maybe montravius adams
sam-eli harold, draft hassan reddick
mike-bowman, bring back hodges
will-ray ray armstrong,tartt, reddick
ss-tartt, reid
fs-ward let bethea walk

cb-robinson, maybe couple rookie, let brock go

priority to draft a nose tackle & faster lbs and versatile safety. we should be ok
If we switched to 4-3. I would sign Donatari Poe, Kawaan Short, or Domata Peko from FA at least 2 of those 3 and resign Glenn Dorsey to man the middle (DTs) and Buckner, AA, Blair, and Lynch can be the DEs. Some people are gonna say that Buck and AA are not 4-3 DEs but you never know until you try it.

No, I'm saying he'd be wasting away in the defense because we need so much to compete.

I don't get it tho.. If we are switching over to 4-3. Why not bring in a proven coordinator like Fisher, where Shanahan can leave him alone with the defense while focusing on his offense since he will be the OC himself too? We're putting a lot of pressure on this rookie DC. Hopefully it works out but idk man.
