I get that, I really do. I just dont buy it in its entirety. He maybe that physical and athletic specimen which we all know he was coming out. But his brain doesnt match the body. I go back to that gif of 1and10 just outside the 49ers redzone vs Dallas, he took himself out of the play in a split second because of not playing technique and situational football, Zeke bust a 20 yard run to the goal line. I get that hes raw and still learning, but in all honesty a high schooler knows those situations; its no exuse for a professional to not know.
Now my friend who played against him in HS and College says this dude is a loaf and only got by because his size and athleticism. Time will tell if this is true or not.
Good points, I agree. For these reasons, I think the new style defense will benefit AA. Remember, Lynch said we don't want to be a read-and-react defense, we want to be a attack style defense. This definitely relates to how the d-line will play. Less 2 gapping and more 1 gapping. Less reading, the assignment is determined pre-snap and they just have to shoot their gap.
I think AA will benefit a lot, because as you mentioned, he struggles reading and reacting. But in a scheme that simplifies things for him and lets his athletic traits take over, he could do very well.
