Hire Saleh.
Realize they have a GM vacancy so Saleh takes Peters with him.
They may fire Seely though. In thought he was a decent ST coach for us, but he was I think the Bills ST coach that gave up the music city miracle.

I appreciate all the concerns of others that if Saleh left he could strip us of Peters, et al, including our Offensive position coaches. As for D tho, we got a double dip when Kocurek and Woods were hired. Not only are they choice position coaches, DBs and DL, but they both could serve as DC if needed. If a better candidate out there, even better But the big loss would be Peters and his knowledge and none of us want that. I just think it unlikely that guys up for HC would even remotely think of going to a low class organization like the Browns.
I mentioned way long ago, that is K.O.D (kiss of death ) place to go if you want to move up in the mgmt world. All Browns can do is ruin your reputation (assuming you have a good one).
A move by. Saleh to team where ownership is involved way too much would ultimately only diminish his reputation....IMO...Probably.
Besides as mentioned many times, he has way too much too learn yet from kyle and JL on how to manage, OC, DC, HC, be a position coach at all slots, how to draft, trade, FA, among other critical mgmt issues. Leaving before he has that info down cold , and understands how everything works and interdigitates with everything else....would be a foolish move when saleh is sitting in the catbirds seat and can get PhD in all the above by staying around another yr or even two. Only thing Saleh can accomplish by taking a position with Browns is to ruin his good reputation and go backwards. Jerry jones and formerly the Yorks (prior to JL doing a complete troubleshoot on all that was wrong with the 9ers) were classic examples of what awaits those who go to teams where ownership KNOWS ALL...and unfortunately, DOES ALL.
So when kyle and JL came here it was with carte Blanche....whatever they wanted, they got. And that ain't the Browns. They seem to be a long way from figuring that out.
The only way that works is iff Saleh (or whoever is HC candidate) gets full conttol. And Saleh just isn't prepared well enough yet to pull that off....at least i don't think so at this stage.

This exactly! I swear Jerry Jones would take the headset in the 4th during an close game if it wouldn't be such a public spectacle.

Lol. Wanting that dude as DC is like wanting Ed McCaffrey as OC. Was a Niner. And good. Not HOF, clearly not the best at what he does. Nostalgia is a helluva drug.
