With Bosa and Ford, Saleh's defense went from worst to first. Same with Dean and Haley. These are impact players that Saleh has. He won't have them on another team. As for Dee Ford and his 31st rank - dunno what that stat that you put up means, but his last team was in the playoffs when he was there. Dee goes to this team and whalla, we're in the playoffs.

Dee Ford made a big difference at KC. The defense would ranked 32nd, but thank god Dee Ford made that a 31st rank defense. I don't understand why he didn't win the defensive player of the year and MVP. He was the only reason why KC made it to the playoff, not Patrick Mahomes. Saleh would be nothing without Dee Ford.

personally if a DC can do one thing, he'll always have a job. It's to find that elite pass rusher, or develop one. Similar to a offensive coach that can find or develop a franchise QB.

Once you have that elite pass rusher, the rest of the defense is a lot easier to assemble.

Thats pretty speculative. Saleh never talked about either scheme the last two years. Seems like it came with the hires rather than was the reason for the hires.

And that makes zero sense. Why would a C3 DC want to go to W9 100% of the time and flip to C2 a ton? No way these two were Saleh's call.

Why would the Seahawks flip to double high a ton. No way these were Pete Carroll's call. Oh wait...

Very poor comparison. Pete didn't hire two specialists outside his C3 training and philosophy. If Pete changes his scheme up, it's because he can and has that experience and usually it's because he's lacking a dominant single high S, injuries or spotted something with the QB he's about to face.

What is to say Saleh didn't want a better teacher on the back end so he use more diversified coverages and better disguise those coverages ? We do know we struggled mightily the first 2 years with communication on the back end of the D under Hafley.

Not saying it is the case but to dismiss that this was Saleh's call is a large assumption. It comes across like you think Saleh's ability is strictly in a C3 tunnel. Seattle may run a cover 3 but Pete does diversify, including using cover 2 which he credits to learning from Monte Kiffin. So Saleh certainly learned a lot more than C3 under Pete.

"I don't get to call those shots but, if people are being smart, they will understand how prepared he is. If he ever gets a shot to interview for a head-coaching job, he'll blow them away," Sherman said. "He's a football genius."

Strong praise from Sherm (from October of this year) and he doesn't need to go so far as to call Saleh a genius when praising him. Just like Kyle has never wavered on moving on from Saleh after year one and two. Maybe just maybe Saleh is a little better than a lot of guys here truly believe.

Please learn from your mistakes during the season and double Adams. We don't need another remix of Julio Jones running free against our DB's. They have no one else for you to worry about.

Agree with this. When he is on Sherman's side let him go one on one if they're playing zone and he lines up on Sherman communication is vital with the backer. If he lines up on Moseley's side blanket him with a safety. Hopefully our linebackers can man up Graham without a problem all game.

Adams had 40 yards against the 49ers in week 13.
