thank you captain hindsight

Hindsight, lmao, actually any sane fan watching the game was saying the same thing when the 3rd qtr started. Not rocket science.

Foot off the gas = letting them dink and dunk their way down the field and run the clock down. They used 11:30 in the 3rd quarter to score 13 points.

2 pass plays over 100 yards not dink and dunk.

So if the team gave up 2/5ths of their 2nd half yards on 2 plays how is that taking your foot off of the gas?

Point is, we got no pressure and saleh didnt dial up pressure

The only way to give up a 27 point lead is to give up big plays. We gave up 2, and you wanted him to put the defense in a position to give up more for the sake of "dialing up pressure?"

Haters gonna hate.

It is a scheme predicated on keeping everything in front of them and not giving up big plays.

It is what it is and it is not going to change. It is also the scheme Kyle wanted and has proven to be effective when you have the horses to run it. Glad those horses will get 2 weeks to rest allowing them to be fresher and helping them continue to play fast.

No man. When you have a team down, you step on their throat. You don't play soft. You stay aggressive. We didn't really, on d, and it's not the first time.

I think it was the players playing more relaxed than anything since they had a big lead. Not much to complain about though since it was an all round dominant performance.

Man it must suck to be a fan that can't enjoy a NFCCG when the score is 27-0 at halftime and even the FOX studio crew is saying "im just calling it now, the 49ers are in the Superbowl".......

Lmao, anyone watching that game knew it was over at half and running out the clock and no injuries is all that we were playing for.

37-20 is winning "soft"? Lol, time to reevaluate your fandom. 4-12 to the Superbowl with the #1 Defense and you're talking about "agressive".......lmao

That is exactly what we need against KC, keep them in front of us. The pass rush should also lead to the ball coming out quicker

Those were in the 4th quarter. Two mistakes. Tartt bit too hard on a play action, and Sherm just got beat.

Exactly. They weren't playing prevent. The players simply didnt execute t execute

Yup. Reid is a beast in his own right. This will be a chess match and Saleh better have it covered.

I hope that kyle is instrumental in planning the D, as Saleh is fine, but kyle is the whiz kid when it comes to game planning. If kyle doesn't spend lots of time on D gameplan , then we won't be competitive. But my guess is he has been working long and hard hours on D Gameplan. As for playcalls, i assume saleh calls those, but if kyle wants a D set on a particular play, you know saleh will run that.

Overall, kyle is just way more likely to find any holes in the KC offense and will work on stopping KC that way. If D gameplan is left to Saleh....ahhh...that isn't going to happen. Kyle will be all over that D gameplan.
Need to harrass and ravage the fck out of Mahomes. Disguise coverages. Defense stay with it even when they get a quick score. All gas no brake. Never let up.

Let's do dis

I don't KS has been working long and hard and has that much control over the defensive gameplan. It would be one thing if he wasn't calling the plays on offense. He more than likely spends the majority of his time on that. I'm sure he has input but i would tend to believe that much of this is on Saleh and the entire defensive staff over KS.
