So, what to do with Alexander, Greenlaw and Warner?

No doubt the work is cut out for both coaches on what they need to improve upon.
Difference is, defense been folding in 2H for 8 weeks. No correction or plan to deal with it. Just rush four and pray.

I think Saleh is staying in the NFL to be a head coach. That Michigan State gig would have been his dream job, otherwise.

Is the defense completely without fault? No, but they weren't the reason we lost. Offense had plenty of chances to close the deal on that bad defense.
Mahomes has been held under 20 1 time since entering the league. That game Indy ran it down their throats. It's a nice thought blaming the d but if I told you guys we'd score 20 and 0 in the 4th. We'd lose the top and barely run it late I think everyone here would say we're boned.
I don't fault the pass calls. We don't have a mauling line like Indy and the plays were there. But this loss is on the o.

Also true. Loss of depth, young players left on an island, predictable sets, etc. Saleh is going to need to expand the coverages even more next year.

Probably the best LB core in the NFL or very close to it.
Keep them and focus on CB & S.

I was more talking about scheme and positioning. Often times we're in nickel or dime which means a LB is coming off the field. Which one between Alexander and Greenlaw? Who starts at WILL and SAM in base? It's a great problem to have but is Alexander too expensive to sit even if Greenlaw is the better player?

Good question and IDK the answer. But if this is our worst problem, then we are in good shape for coming yr.

As Greenlaw gets better each year it makes Alexander more expendable IMHO. Youth and health. It's a raw deal but that's the NFL. Warner's not coming off the field anytime soon. He has All-Pro chops IMHO.
Exactly. And with the new restructure for Kwon, he's also here for the long haul now. So again, I go back to my original question...what do we do with Kwon and Greenlaw? Haha.
FWIW, I rewatched the Bucs game yesterday and Saleh was in base a ton...with the interchangeable S lined up next to them. In short, it looked like 4 LB's lined up. And this was against a QB that loves to throw and throw a lot of the intermediate and deep areas. Could Saleh be looking to play his base personnel as his primary defense b/c his LB's are fast enough to keep up with TE's and WR's?
If so, I just answered my own question. They all play...and are on the field together...a lot!

Well I guess one plays to the strength of their talent. That configuration won't hold up against teams with great speed at WR but I can see that working against many in the NFL. Also of note, Kwon hasn't played a full season yet since being drafted.
True true.

That is exactly why when you first posited the question my response was, "It's a good problem to have". The point about rocket WRs like Tyrek Hill....that's a different problem. There we do have to have a a different answer. The issue there is speedy S's who are good hands guys and who can stick to anybody...rare.

Most definitely.
