In that last quarter the Chiefs had a heavy rush on Jimmy. Tell our guys to hold since the officials were letting players get away with it. If they penalized the 49ers and not the Chiefs we would at least have a real reason for complaining about bias. We didn't so we have no real case.

Basically the same story in both of our Superbowl losses. That last punt that Baltimore called where they just tackled everyone and took the safety was the most ridiculous officiating I've ever seen in my life.

^^^fair point, but by last 7 mins all our guys were blown. They played their hearts out and there just wasn't anymore to give. it would have been nice if we could have given them a blow in the 3rd qtr
I agree.

Hopefully the injury bug will mostly leave us alone this season so we can cross the victory line strong.

You really think the officials would have allowed the Niners to get away with holding?. It's pretty obvious who the Nfl had wanted to win the super bowl that evening and it wasn't us.

Someone that paid for the PFF elite insider deluxe exclusive premium package, can you summarize this article? I'm interested in what it says about SEA defending 3WR sets when in base personnel.

If Saleh does get a HC gig next year, we have some options in keeping a similar defense. Richard, maybe Quinn if fired and maybe even Todd Wash if Jax cleans house again.

Yeah, that is true, but still, Catchmaster has a point. Just do it and see what happens. If they call us for O holding fine...then tell them to call it on KC too. I think this was a case where Andy Reid's experience outdid Kyle who was doing it by the book. Since we know frequently in finals, NBA, NFL, they "let guys play", I agree, it would ahve been the right call to tell our OL to hold like muthas. Great hindsight, wish it could have been before the game.

Don Nelson was an all pro at that while coaching the Warriors. He would berate refs long before the game on fouls NOT called made on KD. One game (i was at), he actually got kicked out of the game for razzing refs before game ever started. Still and all, it is a good lesson. Kyle knows now.

Great points Doc. Kyle was a newbie Super Bowl coach. How many teams can even claim that for their HC.

NFC west is one of the strongest divisions, if not the strongest division in the NFL. Three Super Bowl coaches -- coach in this division.
Interesting.
