GOOD!!! he has a good relationship with our DB coach so I figuered we'd win out. BOO HOO to all the naysayers that say we're everybody's last choice- what now?? This guy keeps Ward outside or in the back. Now we gotta convince Mitchell to stay/sign with us. We solve 2 of the weaknesses on this team and can turn to other spots to spend $$$$ and draft.

Not saying ward is going to get released but with a new GM/HC and a team coming off a 2-14 record there is going to be substantial turnover in the roster over the next two years that could include him if the coaching staff doesn't like what they see.

Reid ends up as SS, bethea is NOT gonna be on this team this yr

Maybe Reid knows his job is on the line and has to hit harder, concussions and all. Not sure he beats out Tartt. Agree about Bethea, he's gone.

Nope, I didn't forget, but it seems like most people on and off this board does. And yeah, better than last year around this time. Heck, better than last few years around this time.

Ward is versatile as a FS or CB and this allows the Niners to move on from Bethea.

You know what? This wouldn't be a bad idea.

I think Reid would make a better SS especially in the new scheme.

Agree with everyone...Maybe the team does indeed move Ward to FS. Last time the team did that they did to a guy named Lott and it worked out pretty well.
