Good question.

Good news it's only a calf sprain. bad news is he won't get any practice in before week 1. This injury usually takes 2-4 weeks to fully heal.

Calf strain will be at least one month and that doesn't include restrengthening. I'm no top conditioned athlete so he may heal much quicker considering the resources, but my calf strain took a month before I could sprint on it. Then the day I did sprint on it, it ended up tearing...pop!!!

Don't you put that on me Ricky Bobby!

Cmon Joe you know you're too old to be out there sprinting around! Where were your Skechers Shape-Ups!?

Forget to wear them so I went barefoot on the grass. That extra grip on the pull probably what made it pop.
nah. This thread is the most disrespected thread on NT
He's a top 3 slot cb in the league. So lucky to have him

I don't think a lot of people appreciate to have his talent here. He's been healthy and have been getting better each year. "But the corner back position is the team's biggest weakness."

I concur. We have a top 3 cb in Sherman and a top 3 slot in Williams. Moseley is probably top 50. As a unit that's got to be top 3 imo. Depth with Verrett and Witherspoon is lacking but as far as starters we are great

As long as Sherm comes back strong, he and K'Waun should be retained, those two plus Trent and Juice are my top 4 priorities in 2021.

Sherman can kick rocks. It's the Walsh philosophy of letting a player go a year early than a year late. I think he's on his last legs tbh. He will be 33 when next season starts. K Williams have a couple of years left. I'm very iffy on T. Williams but he may need to be re-signed out of necessity.

Iffy on Trent? Dude is a beast, who would you rather have at LT then?

As for Sherman, he's still at the top of his game, if he returns stronger, he's a keeper.

K'Waun has more than a couple years left in him.
At this age Sherman should not be resigned. He's just going to continue to breakdown. I don't think we can afford Williams next year.

Sherman is still a quality CB in this league, but yeah, I wouldn't be mad if we drafted a cb with our first pick next year.

He was still quality last year. Now he's injured again. At his age I'm not sure how much quality he has left next year and beyond. We don't have any youth in the pipeline at CB.

I would. First-round CBs are typically guys with man-coverage traits. The 49ers predominantly play zone. Unless the 49ers plan to play more man, it's kind of a waste.

Keep drafting pass rush.
