Why would we have a verbal agreement versus just signing them? You over thinking it. The Eagles, Jets, Colts and Lions all have interest in Williams. Now i haven't read anything about Hyder.

K'waun Williams is most valuable to the Niners and the system we play. He blitzes off the edge, he plays the hitch routes tough, and he is great against the run. Williams does not play outside like others have like Desmond King, Coleman that was with Seattle and Detroit. He wants to get paid but he is a system slot corner that does a lot for us. I still want to sign him. Desmond King has been an all-pro and got 3.5 million.

I can see the Niners drafting the a slot DB from the Washington Huskies Eric Molden... I believe is his name. We also need an outside CB like Surtain, Farley, Horn.

If we somehow can get Kyle Fuller (doubt it) to play opposite of Verrett, we could draft Molden in the 2nd rd and maybe some like Stanford CB Paulson Adebo in the 4th rd. I would like to draft a WR if Chase or Smith if they fall in the first or TE Pitts, who is more like a big Wr.

I think it was Ken Webster and he is still on the roster.. although he's listed as number 40 on the team website rn...

If IMOTEPH does not sign his own gadget in Defense, I think it'll be wiser to sign FULLER because he is a better CB ..

Kind of surprised other than the Jets, very little interest shown in K'Waun. He's definitely worth signing. One of the better slot CB's in the league, IMHO.

Slot corner is a tough position to play. We were lucky to have Kwaun in the last 4 seasons and didn't have to worry about the slot corner spot over the last 4 years. I really hope we can keep Kwaun.

Lol my first thought too.

If K. Fuller can be had in the 6-7 million range on a 1 year deal, I am game. Having Verrett+Fuller on the outsides would be awesome, and Mosley in the slot is fine by me. We still would need to draft a outside CB, but we could wait until RD. 2-3 if need be. Only way I want a CB in round 1, is if the 4 main QB's are gone, and we trade down to someone who wants Mac Jones (Redskins, Patriots) and then we could grab one of the top 3-4 CB's.

Bring him back and run it back. He can probably be had for a 1 year deal. Give him 2 and seal the deal.

If he is, he doesn't get how free agency works. Also possible we didn't make him an offer OR the offer is far less than what he expected. Either way, I'm expecting 2 corners drafted. So far we have only developed 1 DB- Mosely. We let Reed go, Witherspoon was a pick that didn't work out, and Moore hasn't played enough. Tartt is gone. Sherman is gone. Gotta be a reset at secondary. If McGlinchey can pull it together we can comfortably take Farley or Surtain at 12. Still will need another corner however.
