Another solid signing. Niners defense will have continuity even without their DC and their on field leader in Sherman. Niners taking advantage of the down year in the cap and re-stocking with players experienced in their system. Further clarifies what the Niners can do with their draft picks. No major holes to fill at CB anymore.

I give the Niners FO an A in this offseason FA after they resign K'wuan.

It is a big deal to be able to retain Trent Williams, K'wuan, Juice, Verrett, Mosley on a 2 year deal, DJ Jones, and Tartt, along with getting Alex Mack.

We are set at safety. We need depth at outside CB, WR, OL, stack LB, and QB, but we can address most of these via the draft. A veteran backup QB is what is missing.

Why is this such a big surprise. Everyone knew with the tough financial year last year that things were going to be tight and guys would be getting one year deals before the cap increases for next year.

I'd go with Haywayrd I believe him and Verrett were teammates at the Chargers.

Yes! And our CAP is in good health. We should definitely get a reliable backup QB and I'm sure we will.
