f**k that. 2 for $2 on 7eleven chimichangas. Give me the chimichangas all day bro. Hell, if I had to choose between Mckinnon and Goodwin, give me Jerrick. We already know what Goodwin can do.

The Olympics are going to be postponed. Now Goodwin can concentrate exclusively on the Niners!

Hurd and Taylor will depend on injuries. I don't know if Taylor makes it.
Pettis and James will compete for the return job and #6 receiver. If Pettis won't return, he's gone.
Maybe he does. If just one of the 4 (Pettis, Hurd, Taylor, Goodwin) steps up, that would be good. I think that is reasonable. If we get 2, that will be great. No clue how it's all going to come out, in terms of the depth chart, but theoretically, we should have what we thought we were going to have last year in the receiver group. We'll definitely keep 7. Best case scenario however would be Pettis stepping up as a receiver and returner (Kyle is on record wanting Pettis to be a returner). He also has the higher ceiling and a lower contract than Goodwin. Going to be an interesting camp. Hope it happens on time.

Can we just cut this guy already? No one is gonna trade for a #4 receiver

Why cut him then? What harm is he on the roster?

if we can save extra money by waiting to cut him .. assuming no one will trade for him ,,, then i guess thats what we should do. i just think he needs to set at the underachievers table with spoon. thomas and pettis and self isolate them

cap space and waste of a roster spot. roster spots are very limited on nfl teams we need to use his spot on a playmaker/contributor instead of a guy whose not even that interested in football anymore and has never been able to contribute to the team outside of the one season he got hella yards because he was our only receiver.

A desperate team would. Problem is, this WR class is insanely deep. But if I were a team like the 2016 49ers (look at the receivers on the roster), I'd give up a 7th for Goodwin. Maybe even a 6th if the team insisted.

According to OTC website if he is cut or traded before June 1 1.250M dead money and 3.656250 cap savings in 2020 and $625,000 $7,000,000 in 2121.
If it is done after June 1- $625,000 $4,281,250 in 2020 and $625,000 $7,000,000 in 2121.
So if this is true, it doesn't matter if he cut or traded before June 1st., but they do save money after June 1. So that is why Kyle said they are not going to cut him at this time. They are either going to wait till after June 1st if they get no takers and save money or they are going to lose 625,000 but get a pick-any pick.
Plus the assurance that if we get a slew of injuries we may end up needing him, providing he himself is not one of the injured ones, if you are a fan then you know about how injuries have a way of hurting us.
Which is why we are just fans behind a screen and not them.

He deserves a chance to prove himself in the preseason. He might be on top of his injuries and form slump that may well have been due to his personal issues. If he cant cut it in the preseason and preseason games then adios
