Rewatching the first half games of the season, Goodwin really does have a great chemistry with Garoppolo. He's so fragile, he could never be an every down X but it doesn't surprise why Kyle values him. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's still on this team, honestly.

There was one catch in the CLE game where Goodwin caught an Out route where Jimmy threw from the far hash. It was an excellent throw that demonstrated trust.

I honestly kind of forgot about their chemistry from 2017/8 until I dove into the first 4 games of 2019. He really does hold value for Kyle and now that he has a child and mom and newborn are healthy and the Olympics are a non issue, maybe Kyle had a heart to heart and is ready to bring him back and have him help groom a rookie a bit on that role?

Surely it is just a form thing with Goodwin related to his home issues rather then an attitude thing that seems to be underpinning Pettis's problem?

Yeah, I don't see any connection there between the two. Goodwin, like so many 9ers, just can't stay healthy. Pettis was a healthy scratch.

I personally have trust issues with men who dye their hair purple and pink. Reeks of immaturity and lack of self esteem. You need maturity and high levels of self esteem to succeed in the NFL

Perfect anticipation and ball location on this throw. If the 2017 Goodwin is back I'd love him back in 2020. But that was 3 years ago so who knows if Goodwin is still as fast.
