WR Marquise "Flash" Goodwin (traded to PHI)

1. Let's stop freaking out. A 7th is not much better than an UFA. Who cares?
2. This is the "conditional" bit of the "conditional 7th round pick" - presumably appearances. The 20 places swap last year was the main trade compensation. They should have drawn up the terms more carefully, but, as above, who cares about pick #200-odd?
3. If you moan about the lost pick, how about Philadelphia who moved down 20 places in the 6th round (a little more meaningful, but not by much) and never got anything for it.
4. He can (and will) be cut without cap consequences.

Technically we should move this thread back to Niner Talk since he's on the roster again at the moment.

There was probably a provision in the trade that states if the traded player opts out of the season or retires, then the subsequent comp is an additional x, y, and/or z while the player returns to the original team.

Candidly, we had a bottom 6th round pick, and we essentially traded it and a 2021 7th to move up 20 spots in the 2020 draft. In short, that's a steal. Stop complaining.

Eagles essentially let us move up 20 spots in the 6th round last year for free, so we still won this one.

Lol, dude jumped shorter than he did in 2012. Time to focus on NFL. I loved Goodwin the year he earned his extension but after he got it he was not about football (I followed on IG at the time) dude was all about being flashy, posting pictures of him with tigers and s**t. He needs to focus on football.

He should have been used as a deep threat more instead of trying to pencil him in as a #1. He's like Darius heyward bay but less threatening deep.
