Agreed. I could easily see Garcon catching a 100 passes this year.

Pleasantly surprised with this guy!

In madden?
Every day I keep reading about this guy. I don't think it's a fluke and if he can just stay healthy, man I think we got a real steal in FA and he could be a really good play making #2 WR.

BOTH guys are having a real good camp.

Don't see why he couldn't? He had 183 targets his last season with Kyle and RG3 throwing him the ball.

Meh I think DJ is having a okay off season...preseaon is gonna determine that 2nd spot. Personally I think secondary is gonna be an issue for SF this yr. I think it would be smart to look for DB help.

I read somewhere he ran a 4.38 40. Could that be true?

Goodwin? Try blistering 4.2 speed. He's got rare vertical speed. In fact, since the NFL combine started recording electronically timed 40s, only 6 football players have timed faster than Goodwin.

Torrey Smith can only dream of being as fast as Marquise Goodwin.

He was a world class track athlete. He is the absolute real deal when it comes to speed.

Yes but so was Bill Walsh's one track star....one of fastest guys in the world....but he had stone hands.(blocking on his name right this moment). After yr 2, Coach Walsh gave up. But Goodwin sure doesn't look that way on film clips. This dog can hunt...and catch too. Wouldn't it be something if we ended up wiht a #1 WR and we basically brot him up on our own? Man, to go into next yr, not to mention this one, with a bona fide #1 WR....i don't know how you value something like that, but man , i love it. Let's just hope his performance to date is the real product we end up with. If so we have just whittled down the needs for next yr of just a FR QB. (Ok, and some E.Rs, plus a Franchise Center)...but those are needs it looks like we are going to finesse, at least for this season. IF Goodwin is the Real Deal, that is amazingly good news for us.

And while at it, who knows that Hoyer doesn't suddenly turn into a FR QB after 6 or 7 seasons of bouncing around as a journeyman. Probably won't happen, but let's not just discount it as a possibility , altho really, really remote. Just keep an open mind + a world class play caller....maybe for the first time ever, hoyer breaks thru. Just looking at the guy tho, you see a slightly built, guy who doesn't look like he can take a lot of 350 pounders falling on him. That has to be factored in too, no matter how good (or bad) he turns out to be. The antithesis, Rothliesberger, looks like he could hurt a 350 pounder if one fell on him. Hoyer...no way that would ever happen. So just keep an open mind, and give the guy his shot. He's gonna be our QB this yr anyway, so might as well get behind him, if only for one yr. Then let's see where the chips fall. We got another guy, Marquis Goodwin, who has a shot at being a #1 WR, based on his work in PS so far. Let's give hoyer our support at least for this yr , anyway. And if he gets injured, ok, bad idea. But then we have a shot at seeing how CJ does. So, roll with the punches and re-evaluate at end of yr.

He can run this route all day, every day. Go route, stop and go and comeback. Not even fair esp. if the ball is thrown in anticipation.

Yup as long as he doesn't get jammed up at the line good luck keeping up with this guy.

One constant with teams playing against Seattle is they have issues with the quick smaller WRs, Trent Taylor says hi

I read he is getting separation along with his speed, he should catch a ton of balls. Niners have slow and plodding at receiver for years

Yup we got speed all over the place for once...I would like to get a bigger WR that can be used for jump balls and in the red zone though, one guy I'm gonna keep my eye on come FA is donte moncrief. I was a big fan during the draft an he has a nack for scoring TDs

Haha, right?!

Kyle is going to run a pure lineup of horizontal WRs all day with Tayloy, Kerley, Goodwin from the slot, Bolden, Robinson, etc.

One of the first things I did in the off season was come up with a free agent and draft plan to right this ship...with an eye on ensuring you can beat the #1 team in your division, in Seattle. And that seems exactly what ShanaLynch did with these types of burners and esp. with the shifty, short-area quickness receivers that can get instant separation esp. in the horizontal ga me...and keep those chains moving.

Ha, I thought the same. Aside from Mack, Sanu was their best pickup esp. for the RZ.

We badly need a guy like that...Moncrief would be a terrific pickup.
