hardly used with touches, but this guy was on the field 90% of the snaps contributing in other ways

We re-set the market at;

FB - Juice
K - Gould
RB - CMC

and now we are talking about other teams over paying players? We are going to see how important the FB position is this upcoming season without Juice.

Any draft prospects?

Do any college teams use a FB these days?

I don't think many do. Maybe they can find a gem in the 7th round. He is a team leader, but we all saw this coming.

Maybe UDFA since no other teams are looking for a true FB either? Why draft a position that no one uses?
it would have to be UDFA, but we already signed Juices replacement
We probably have a list of potential FB prospects we'll be looking at up UDFA targets.

He was not on the field 90% of the snaps, not even close. You are way off.

I never understood it either! But as a result, teams aren't usually thinking the ball will go to him..then it does..and he was so reliable, fully confident in Juice when he played!

OVERPAID... UNDERUSED... he's a better all around FB than John L Williams, Tom Rathman, Moose Johnston, Mike Alstot, BUT SHANNY DID NOT KNOW HOW TO USE HIM..

wasted years !!
Maybe Kyle plans on drafting Warren and using 2 TE sets. I don't think they should be drafting a TE with pick #11 because they got so many other needs but I have to admit it would be fun seing both Kittle and Warren on the field at the sametime.

We'll be using more TE sets, but I don't think it will be Warren at 11.

Have to do something with this DL first.

Every time he was given an opportunity? Yeah, not quite. There were a few "whoopsies" in the highlight reel.

That said, there isn't much demand for him. Look at the other 49ers who were either impending free agents or cut targets. Banks got a deal with the Packers. Hargrave snapped up by the Vikings. Hufanga scored big with the Broncos. Even the official "Elijah MItchell Injured Reserve List" got picked up.

As for Juice? Crickets, man. Crickets. This isn't to say he won't get picked up. He might. But the wait might be a tad long. Value drops quickly with a long wait.

Also, there just are not many teams that use a FB anymore. Only 8 FBs played the minimum number of snaps in order to be rated by PFF. Other than Patrick Ricard in Baltimore, no one played anywhere near the number of snaps Juice had. He was underused this past year.
Damn seeing this in NFL Talk is slightly depressing.

Sean Peyton could do wonders with Juice. He can join Huf and Dre
