What does it matter? All these dudes are on "two years and we'll see" contracts. And the Niners were never anywhere close to hitting the salary cap.

overpaid yes, waste? He's a Seattle LB in a Seattle defense. He was brought here for that reason.
You should be more mad about Garcon and Ward eating up lots of the cap. Even though I hope they both will be gone next year.

that is no excuse for poor decisions by the front office and poor play by the players who were signed

Lee is terrible. Horrible discipline, horrible tackling whether it's defense or special teams. Essentially a good athlete that can cover IF he plays his assignment but he doesn't even do that consistently.
Malcolm is decent but easily upgraded.

So Shanny clarified that Malcolm Smith and Elijah Lee have been rotating because--brace yourself--Malcolm is playing through an INJURY.

So.we should be haply picking up crappy Seatlle cast offs? It shouldn't matter that he was one of the worst lb's in the league with the Raiders? And where has him being a former Seahawk oaod off for the Niners? All 3 need to be gone

Recently, Malcolm has played very game, so it's the opposite of Ward/Garcon really.
