Have to be. Too high of a cap number. Should be able to draft a replacement.

4.2 mil in dead money, scheduled to make 5.4 mil so very minimal savings.
After 2019 we have more reason to cut him. 2.8 dead out of 6.1 total. Much better savings.

We don't need 4 million in savings this year, when it gives us 2.8 million of DEAD MONEY in 2020. I would just cut him before June 1st, or trade (highly unlikely), and take the whole 4.2 million in DEAD MONEY for 2019, so we save a little money in 2019, but have no dead money after this season. We're not going to spend all our money this off season, so we might as well create as much as possible for future seasons needs.
I would cut/trade Garcon and Mitchell this off season as well. Get all that DEAD MONEY taken care of now, while saving a little this year, but tons going forward.
