Nope. Bow is the Mike. Brooks is SAM. (Unless Malcom gets pushed over there).
according to who? He played outside in college, and Brooks sucked in a 4-3 with Cincy.
In this D (it's a little different than the standard 4-3), the SAM is more like a 3-4 OLB, who sets the edge, covers a little, and rushes a little. The Mike is the best and smartest LB on the team, and the Will is relied on to cover and fly to the ball.
well we will have to wait and see. No way Brooks is on the roster come week 1
I just don't see brooks having the speed and being able to cover as a sam in this system. The position just screams Eli Harold.
