Kicker Robbie Gould

He made over 70 kicks in a row under 50 yards. Makes no sense to do anything but keep him...

He made 31 straight under 50 not over 70. He should definitely be resigned. So many inconsistent kickers in the league.

I saw several missed extra points just this past weekend. That move back they did a couple years ago has made a difference.
49ers' kicker Robbie Gould is signing a two-year, $7.25 million fully guaranteed contract extension with SF, per source. It ties him to the team through the 2022 season.

Looks like he is staying until at least 2022.
Suck against a good team, get a 2-year extension. His plan worked
One down, 39 to go
Worth it

JUST when I thought he was out, they pull him back in !!!

Definitely, I remember the days of Jose Cortez and having an inconsistent kicker is very disappointing. Especially when points are tough to get.

Creating cap space
So if I'm reading this right....he's signed longer and his cap hit will be around $2M less next yr?

He had a team option deal for a little over $5M in 2021 that had to be picked up by the end of the yr.

He had a two year team option anyways. So it was always going to be two years regardless.

Yes, they lowered his cap space by giving him a fully gtd deal. Because, ya know, cap space is easy to create
