I thought the problem with Gould is that he was too old?

60 year old Matt Bryant? Why would the falcons let him walk if he's any good still?

Some people had a problem with Gould's age. But those people are being ridiculous, as kickers can play much later into their career.

Are you saying that players only get released if they are no longer any good?
I don't have a problem with Gould's age...but I think it's about time to start calling him Robert Gould

Gould was 35 when the 49ers signed him. Bryant will be 44 when the season starts & had hamstring issues last season.

FWIW, the Jags just resigned Josh Lambo - 4 years, $15,5M.

Sets the value of Gould a little closer.
Matt Bryant has kicked in a dome most of his career.

Would he fare well here??

Wow!

Pats Gostowski is also a FA and IMO, they won't pay that.

I really like Gould and hope we can get him back.
Pay the man John!!!

F*** Chicago lol
Franchise tag I guess.

Makes the most sense.

Lynch wont do it.
Robbie Gould isn't Lebron James. He can't just decide where he goes. He was released by his beloved team just one week before the season started because they rather pay another kicker a ton of money. He was on the open market for a while and nobody else wanted him until the giants had the domestic violence problem.

Then we gave him a chance on a discount deal and he killed it for us. Worked out for both sides. Hope we don't let him just leave because he wants to be back in Chicago. That's some b******t.

Chicago is very tight agains the cap and have Bryce Callahan to resign. A lot of changes have to be made to give Gould a two or three year deal.
