Coyle played through a torn labrum the majority of the year. I noticed he wore a shoulder brace most of the season but didn't make much of it.

Through 10 weeks of the season, Coyle has made his presence felt in the pass-rush, and has accumulated three hits and two hurries from just 20 pass-rushing snaps. Going forward, the 49ers could look to use him in an expanded pass-rushing role,......
(Inside linebackers)
.
Hell yeah, expand his role as a pass rusher. NaVorro who?

Respect. Dude actually wasn't that bad, made some plays, wore the green dot and wasn't a monster liability like Nick Bellore or Michael Wilhoite.
Sign him to a decent #3 contract and ST ace.

Coyle improved seemingly game by game. Ray Ray didn't. I think that's what the coaches will act upon. If Malcolm Smith comes back, the Niners should be fairly well set at MLB.
