So true, I've always said he is an overrated quarterback and the Cardinals defense sucks. They were lucky we didn't have our center or backup Center (especially on that fourth and goal) or George Kittle healthy the whole game or Deebo Samuel. Those nice referees really helped them out as well as that special teams blunder. Even if we're relatively healthy we beat them. All we need is Kittle

just curious, outside of Jimmy, do you think that any other QB in the NFL is good? or is every QB just lucky and overrated? bc you even talked about how lucky Pat was...

I've talked about how
Russell Wilson is a much better passer now then before just not good in the playoffs (hence overrated),
I have talked about Tom Brady being good,
Drew Brees being good,
Aaron Rodgers been good,
Patrick Mahomes being good even though he did a poor job in the Super Bowl overall and he has pro bowlers all around him.
Lamar Jackson is very dynamic even though he's not the most accurate passer he is still pretty good

So I hope that answered your question those are six quarterbacks that are all good to very good. I would take any of the above over Jimmy (Although I would like to see Jimmy G with some of their pro bowl receivers besides Lamar Jackson).

You do know a quarterback can be overrated such as Dak Prescott or Matt Ryan and still be a decent quarterback.

Losing against the Lions is certainly shameful but it happens. Does not necessarily say anything about the true quality of the team.
given your logic, the Niners of week 1 do not have any quality...

It should say something about the quality of the Arizona Cardinals and it's not just that one game. I have been saying the Cardinals defense is very bad and I am still right about that. Both of their lines on offense and defense are terrible so that's not the logic I was using at all. Maybe you should check out the thread more often that way you will see I'm not basing my statement just on the game against Detroit.

I think Dak is good, just not great. He does struggle in crunch time situations. But I don't think he's had good coaching either. You put Dak with Kyle, and he would probably be a top 5 QB. He's got a really good arm, just makes some bad decisions at times.

Meh. I'd take Kyler over Lamar. He's going to end up being the much much more polished passer.

Agreed but if you gave jimmy G Daks weapons in Cooper Gallup Lamb and Elliot (and a great OL even though they are a bit injured this week) he would have top 5 stats as well. Dak just misses too many throws and chokes like I've often see with Matt Ryan
If we didn't breathe on kyler when he slid, the cards would be 1-2 right now

Cards are frauds! They'll be exposed soon enough

As long as Lamar has Roman, he won't be a good passer.

As long as Lamar keeps missing wide-open receivers and isn't the most accurate quarterback, he won't be a good passer

I also seem to recall people questioning why I think Kyler Murray is overrated. I hope they got their answer this week. I'm not saying he's a bad quarterback I am just saying he does not deserve all of the hype and praise that he gets.

All passing plays in Roman's offense are shot plays. He doesn't really have drive sustaining passing philosophy. That's why they suck from behind. Basic passing offense.

Very true however it would help in Jackson could be more accurate when those plays are open and there to be made

We knew ARZ would be good on offense, but the shocking thing has been the improvement they've made on defense.

I still think Vance Joseph is a mediocre DC, and Kliff's offense leaves his defense out to dry, but they've got some guys on that side (Jones, Peterson, Baker, even Reddick has improved when he has been considered a bust).

This aged well.
I'm been saying Murray definitely isn't close to there yet. He cost them the Detroit game (3 horrendous ints), and missing throws like they were going out of style against a bad Carolina defense and especially secondary. (And a costly fumble) Also he had Hopkins....enough said. If it weren't for a blocked punt inside our 15 yard line or a failed fourth and goal From the 1 yard line we couldn't get, the cards are 1-3.

I hope people consider all of this before they crown Murray or the cards.
