On a positive note, perhaps this signing puts even more of an emphasis on the front office to lock up Trent Williams.

They don't need JJ Watt for that. They already want Trent back but they are waiting for the official salary cap number.
It's pretty obvious they want Trent back. But we also know the Niners get cute at times with their money. What I'm saying is JJ Watt forces their hand even more so to get a deal done with Trent even if it means going out of their comfort zone financially.

Yep, and with Chandler Jones wanting a new deal and Hassan Reddick as a FA
It seems like the NFC West besides the 49ers are the only f**king teams that make big moves like this. I wish other divisions had the balls to pony up because now the Cardinals are going to be even harder to beat unless they lose Chandler Jones which they will not.
Yes Jj and Jones make a tough duo. If they somehow can keep Reddick that would be a dam good pass rushing front.

If the niners signed JJ people here would be crying for whatever reason.
Wasn't trading for Trent Williams a big move?
lmao

It would of been bigger but the net gain was not that big given that he just replaced a huge loss in Staley. Lmao

And? Joe was retiring wether that trade was done or not. So it was just for continuity sake on one of the most important positions.
Wish I could say more facts but can't allow my warning level to go up more, lmao.

Dee Ford as well. K'won was a big signing as well. Richburg got paid a lot as well. Sherman...We've made moves, some just didn't pan out. We've also made some dumb moves, like trading Buckner.

Somehow these mofos got Hopkins for cheap as hell though. Not sure wtf the rest of the league was doing and not inquiring.

Rest of the league couldn't even think any GM would be stupid enough to trade an elite WR1 for a frozen seven eleven burrito. Perhaps Steve Keim was drunk and he talked to BoB as a joke but it actually happened.
I didn't like the Ford trade because there were other options cheaper in FA like Zadarius Smith. Kwon was a need to path the Reuben Foster fiasco, but he became irrelevant because of Dre Greenlaw. Richburg was the best Center available that year and a perfect fit, it was unfortunate he is such an slow healer.

Fact or not, I want our team to keep pace with the other teams in our division instead of sitting around hoping injuries don't derail our 3rd out of 4th season in a row.

I guess you must of missed the fact that the niners are barely players in comparison to many other successful teams that trade for exceptional players or get those players in free agency (or a huge draft day trade like kc did for Mahomes or Buffalo did with Allen) I could say more facts but I love my 0% warning level lmfao

This.
Ancient decrepit JJ Watt is stealing HOW much from the Cardinals salary cap? No wonder everybody in Houston loves this guy so much. What a noble human being.
Watt is not worth 15.5 Million per year at this stage of his career. You can get similar production from Hyder for half of that price. And he is 2 years younger. And without the health concerns. Watt only had 5 sacks last season in 16 games. We all got on Armstead's case for only getting 3.5 sacks.
Who cares?
