Lets try this again...
I'm not arguing guilty or not guilty.
Whether anyone chooses to accept it or not. There is a system where beds need to be filled.. No spinning please.
So when you create a system where they mandate the state to fill them up. Theres a problem whether he is guilty or not.

"Private Prison Sues State for Not Having Enough Prisoners"
These private companies just using the state and the state is allowing it. The company screams broke, create a b******t story how the state screwed them with funds thus laying off. Less cops means chaos in the prisons, they advertise the chaos to the public so we can squeeze more money out of you and hire the cops back.
Its all a business, he probably got killed, if he was still fighting with legal battles. Taking his own life is the last thing but i guess we will never know but look at things as a whole.
Gotta love capitalism!

This. Aaron Hernandez was a murderer who deserved death or a place in prison for the rest of his life. Private prisons and meeting quotas has nothing to do with Hernandez.
You know how you ensure you don't go to jail? Don't commit a crime and don't hang out with people who commit crimes. By doing that you greatly reduce your chances of going to jail even if the system is corrupt.

The prison system is a failure. They fail to rehabilitate the prisoner, whether he murdered or not.. Try.
Do you want this guy coming out in 25 years or 20 in this system No.
Instead of cashing in on these people, try helping the ones that can because murders dont get released and commit murder again right?
Its broken and you need to fix from the top down.
Murders do get out of prison, keep that in mind... They are also more repeat offenders.
System is broken. It will stay broken until the root is targeted.
Some states give you more time for drugs than murdering...
The system is a business.

I get it, I truly do. But just seems like the wrong place to advocate this.

Much of this was created when Clinton upped the pressure on drug users in the 90s. Now we are wanting to back down on drug enforcement so there is less need for prison space. IOW, the government has changed the conditions under which private companies invested money. Crazy scenario.

Thanks for sharing that article. The Orisin Industrial Complex is a real problem for this country.
I cannot bekueve it is legal for a state to guarantee prisoner quotas. Private prisons should be banned.
Yup we're treated as commodities now.
