Super frustrating watching that game yesterday...3 TDs wiped away(may have bothered me more since I had Jimmy and Kittle in FF lol), constantly pushing ourselves back on offense after nice plays. Helping Tampa Bay get second chances.

I get the PI/holding calls on D will happen in today's NFL but the procedure sh*t, the unnecessary roughness, illegal formation should be locked down.

Best way to find your way on a losing side of the ball is pulling that crap.

The silver lining is that we were able to win this game despite the mistakes. Any other year with KS and this game would have been a loss 100%. Need to learn from this though.
Ordered his Jersey on Amazon just now. Hoping I can get it signed and framed next to the other Niner legends on my wall.

The reason Thomas didn't play the majority of the snaps is because the coaches had no reason to yesterday. AA repeatedly manhandled his guy. Say what you want about him, but he had a great game. He missed a tackle early, but let's not sit there and ignore the fact that he had beat his man on that play as well.

Yup, AA had the best game of his career.

Absolute TRUTH!

If he can keep this up we're in for a hell of a ride this season.

I have no idea what you guys are seeing. He had a decent game but why are people reacting like he was a dominant force for us yesterday? He had a couple of good plays in numerous snaps and yes he got himself a sack, even though I thought it should've been split between him and Nick cuz Wilson was getting out of Armstead's grasp on that play.

Sidenote: 2nd and 5(play right before NIck got his sack) how in the fuk did the refs mark that as a 1st down?? That drive ended up resulting in their only TD on offense.

I'm not reacting like he's a dominant force.

I'm reacting that he's finally pulling his weight and coupled w/the rest of the DLine - that bodes something to cheer about.
Crazy how different one game from Bosa (with no preseason) is from Thomas' whole career. One pick different. I was very patient, 2 years of growth, but we know who he is now. He's not getting a second contract and I doubt even a 5th year option.

Lynch will pick up the 5th year. He loves Stanford. And someone has gotta replace AA once he leaves in free agency

Really? Is Thomas significantly better than Jullian Taylor or Ronald Blair? Something would have to change.
What is most frustrating is we picked Solomon Thomas , passing up on Mahomes and Watson bc Beathard was The draft crush

Both will be backups this year

And Brian Hoyer was our starter during that draft process

On the plus side we missed out on Mitchell.
As many stunts as they were running yesterday i am surprised Thomas didn't get more snaps and or do better. Small sample size, but a top 5 player should have the miserables to simply impact the game.

I expected ST to play inside now that the team has edge rushers but the plays ST was in on I always saw him on the edge. Overall impact for a 3rd overall pick was low. Hopefully this was an anomaly for just one game but I know better than to think that.

Him having a great game would be the anomaly

Considering what happened to Dee Ford last year on that penalty none of our guys should be lining up offsides. I don't get that. The ball is RIGHT there. How do you line up offsides? At least jumping offsides I understand - sometimes you try to time that snap and it backfires but lining up offsides? SHOULD NOT HAPPEN.

I'll wait for the ALL22 to go back and watch his snaps unless someone is less lazy than I am. It did look like he was getting a good jump off the ball but didn't do much with it.
Lmao... but why did he only get 12 snaps?

Please don't blame it on the coaching staff. Its in their best interest to play ST as much as possible and have him look like a star. On the other hand, they owe nothing to AA. They are in no way tied to AA and it's not like he's a fan favorite. They could have cut him/traded him and not a single person would have cared.

Could it be that AA, for as underwhelming as he is, is still a better option then ST? I mean, this is his second DL coach. Could both coaches be wrong?

I think that is ALL our fears....

I really like ST. I really want ST to be amazing....but not getting snaps is a bad sign.... feeling like AA is a better match up then the guy you picked top 5 is also a REALLY bad sign.

I hope he was on medical snap count reduction, or had the flu..or something....anything.....

So do I. I don't want to find out that our 3rd overall pick was a bust. But man, it's not looking good.
The players that we passed up to select this loser is just depressing to think about.

That should haunt Lynch. I just don't think Solomon will ever be a good player in the NFL.

Looking like a very very poor selection with the 3rd pick. Problem he's not quick enough for an undersized lineman and not big enough to be a run stuffing mauler. At best he's a decent backup lineman that will give the starters a quick blow and then he's back on the sidelines.

Not getting a good vibe on him. I think the coaching staff realizes they made a mistake and they've already moved on from Solly.
