Anyone who watches the games can see that Thomas isn't anything special at this pt and is neither great vs the run or pass.

Is what it is, I hope he "finally" gets his chance to show everyone wrong. I agree with what waterbear is saying...sucks because you know how much I loved me some ST

In hindsight Adams should have been the pick...Could you imagine him in this defense damn.

You would pick Adams? At the time, we had no franchise QB AND if we are using hindsight, I don't know how you pass on Mahomes especially on a 5 year rookie contract.

Forgot about the QB lol...oops yeah Mahomes no doubt. I've been pretty happy with Jimmy G, so I didn't even go that direction.

If we're gonna redo the draft Mahomes probably goes #1 to the browns and SF goes Myles possibly Watson at 2
Why are we using hindsight? Won't change a thing and we're in good shape now after getting Bosa and Jimmy. We take Adams or Mahomes and we're not where we are right now.

Time for Solly to step up and show he's got a future here. Him playing NT definitely isn't ideal but he has to show something and help out while we're banged up.

We'll see what happens. Overall I'm not going to lose sleep over the pick at this point because as sad as it is to say if we get a better player that draft it's possible our team overall is worse today cuz we're not getting Bosa.

Well said. We are at the point now where wishing for this and complaining about not having done that are useless. We have a lot of guys on IR just like some other teams. Nothing can be done about that so we have to make do with what we have and hope it's good enough. Let's hope Jones, Sherman,Tartt and Ford will all be able to contribute in the playoffs but if they can't then it's time for the backups to show everyone why they should be starting. Go Niners.

Come back please when Thomas is playing for league minimum in a couple years for a garbage team.

If that's with this account or another one after you get banned again for breaking webzone rules.

I tried guys. I really did.

Yeah, you tried for 4 weeks to come up with plays to prove Thomas was weak inside the run, couldn't do it, and kept trying to find unrelated padding and fluff for your video. You tried to distract everyone from the fact that after claiming Thomas played badly in the Arizona game and saying you would provide time stamps to prove this, you completely changed the argument because you had nothing to back this claim.

Oh, and anyone who thinks guys like this aren't personally attacking Thomas (for some odd reason), get a load of his "fake hustle" conspiracy theory.

Fans frequently accuse players of mailing it in, and every now and then, a player really does loaf on the field.

But this guy doesn't stop with that accusation. He accuses Thomas of mailing it in but pretending not to. He accuses Thomas of not wanting to make plays, and pumping his arms to try to trick viewers into thinking he's putting in effort.

And then he thinks he's actually being rational. Absurd.

Oh yes, you suddenly "saw" all of this after 1 game this year, after defending him all of last year. 1 game where he played like 5 snaps inside (which is about what he played in each of the other games he played in his first two years).

I don't know why everything I say goes in one ear and out the other with certain posters in this thread. How many times do I have to repeat that the 49ers only run 1 45 minute padded practice per week, and teams never make decisions based off practice, as is a commonly believed myth among fans? How many examples of far superior players backing up far inferior players until an injury forces the starter out (or poor play in actual games gets that player benched) do I have to cite? How many times do I have to point out that the only reason Thomas weighs 270 instead of 300, like the other DTs in the league, is he has an exceptionally low body fat percentage (a la Aaron Donald), and if success at DT were about weight, he could just stuff calories down his throat? I have a hunch there are some people in this thread who weigh more than Thomas...maybe the 49ers should sign you guys to play DT, since it's all about weight.

What's going on Solomon. Didn't think you'd stoop so low to create a burner account and defend your astronomically poor play as a top 3 pick. Maybe spend less time on the internet and more time on learning how to play football

I think you did well. All you have to do is watch the tape. This dude is aw terrible football player and offers absolutely nothing. He's just a dude who stands there and gets mauled at the line of scrimmage.
So is he good inside...Is he good outside....Where is it that he's supposedly good at ...
Since Waterbear spent 4 weeks desperately searching into previous seasons to try to find negative Thomas plays, check out DeForest Buckner at 1:10:

Because we're just talking, not trying to get to serious over it anymore. Is what it is at this pt.

Lol you're trying wayyyyyy too hard and you're just wrong. We're all niner fans and want every player to play well. Thomas hasn't played well, he hasn't and whatever excuse you want to throw out there, it's not gonna change that he's been subpar. That's why I'm basically reading what you say and not paying a ton of attention to it. It's all excuses at this pt.

Go look back in this thread, I was just fighting everyone saying this and that about him. He's heading into yr 4, WONT be given the 5th yr option and most likely heads to another team on a cheaper deal. He's had 3 training camps, and almost 3 full seasons to show his worth. It's not happening right now. Proof is in the pudding.

You won't find one football analysis saying Thomas is currently an elite run-defender. If he was doing as well as you keep saying he'd be playing more, yet he's not.

I hope he can turn it around before it's too late for him in SF.
Thomas play is subpar and he is getting passed for reps by guys like Day,DJ,Taylor,Blair and probably next by Street. With all the Dline injuries continue to mount he has had an opportunity to grab a spot but hasn't.
