Fair. But in this case, I think it's more Kocurek's W9 alignments, his coaching and most importantly, playing guys in proper positions. Finally.

The whole playing his best football in a contract yr is a dumb take IMO.

Ya'll think he doesn't want to play good football in general? Kid was raw coming out of college and was put on IR like what 2 or 3 yrs? Health/lack of reps was is biggest issue.

He's finally in a proper scheme, developed, has good coaching, and yes talent around him. He said he absolutely wants to stay in SF, this is him home. I think SF makes it happen. Which they should.
I would just tag AA and trade him for a 2nd rounder then trade down to get multiple picks. We can resign blair and day at a much cheaper rate and use AA money to supplement the team elsewhere.

That's the thing though, he'll either be franchised or extended by the time free agency starts. IF they allow him to reach free agency that means they have no intent of keeping him.

Yeah, your right - guess we'll see what happens, I hope he's back.
I think AA wants to stay. We are good now, he loves playing in CA, and we probably want him back. We will make some moves to free up more money. (Ex: Jet, Goodwin and others)
Guys want that second contract so I'd give my all in a walk year.

I think Armstead is clearly more talented than Thomas, but is going to command a large contract in free agency that the Niners might not be able to match. Maybe Thomas can be a more reasonably priced solid contributor in the interior to complement the superstars Bosa, Ford and Buckner. I like that Thomas has always given high effort, and playing in a star studded lineup should leave him with opportunities that I think he can capitalize on. We are seeing it a bit this year in a more limited backup role.

If it comes down to AA or Ford, who do you keep?

Based on Ford's injury history, I keep AA and draft another ER.

I don't think it will come down to that, but it does give some perspective to the argument that PM will find a way to keep them both AND ST.
I'll raise you one, Dj....all the above AND try to get another ER via trade, FA, or draft.

Ford will restructure. We take the fifth on arik.

And we draft an edge rusher.

Even C Marsh would of had a sack against the Vikes with all of the havoc being caused.

Clearly you don't watch the games. Dude is very quick off the snap. Gets in the backfield, just needs to learn how to finish.

This. Very high quality sack.

I guess that means you don't talk about him?
