unfortunately that was against a backup? center. I would imagine they're able to scheme where solly is isolated on a guard (like how Dee got his sac against Minn) but beating a guard is different from beating a center. Solly hasn't shown the ability to beat a guard one on one as a pass rusher unfortunately. I want him to do well, he seems like a solid run defender, but as a pass rusher, even in favorable positions (isolated against a guard), he's just not effective.

As long as he tones it down a bit. He's been overly aggressive on a couple of tackles a few times now. We do t. We'd a 3rd and long stop to become a 1st and 10.

Niners might tag AA, but I don't see how they pull off a long term deal. Someone is gonna pay this kid $100M.

They are not moving on from him after this season. If they cut him they are on the hook for his salary and if they trade him they are on the hook for half his salary. The only way he gets traded is for a first or another high prospect.

Nah. Hes still not right. His job is to give the starters a rest. Thats what we need from him. We'll figure it out next year.

You just never know if/when something clicks for a guy. It would be a real cool story line if he ended up being a difference maker today.

Of course even when that does happen...doesn't mean a whole lot. Eg. Malcom Smith SB MVP
