Thomas reminded me a lot of Joe Williams, who also lost his sister albeit under different circumstances. Took him a long time to get over. There's no set time to recover with each person.

I hope Thomas can refocus on regards to football.

I really hope he can head his mental health in place. He does have the tools to be a pretty good player, but you can tell his heart isn't fully in the game. But this is his last year to prove that he can make it in this league.

If anything it should make him meaner instead of the other way around.

I hate to be that a*****e but people act like hes been dealing with his sisters unfortunate suicide his entire career. When will people accept that he just might not be that good? Do people forget he was just as bad his rookie season without having to deal with those issues? And yes I get it, he was rookie. Yes I know, you can bring up DeFo and Armsteads numbers. But those guys flashed and showed potential. Thomas has been extremely underwhelming his entire career.
thomas was also drafted onto a stacked Dline and had his position changed a million times. they did the same to AA and when they stopped pushing him all over the Dline he stepped up huge

Kinlaw is a DT. It'll be Bosa and Ford on the outiside on passing downs. Maybe Kin see's some action on 1st and 2nd downs on the outside.

Lol he literally (AA) still does the same thing by playing end in base and inside for Nickel.

Thomas definitely wasn't drafted onto a stacked Dline...which is why he was drafted. That DLine the year prior was one of the worst ever as our defense was historically bad vs the run and overall.

We'll never get a good understanding in what happened with Thomas but it is what it is. Unfortunately he's better off going somewhere else or if he wants to stay here for a cheap backup contract I'd certainly keep him for that.
Hopefully Thomas can grow a few inches, 5 more in arm length and gain 50 pounds so Saleh can get his on.
