Solly having a breakout season is laughable. He'll be lucky to hit 5 sacks this year.

This, my biggest and only gripe about John till this day. Drafting a guy he had a class with and alumni

Can't blame him, go look at Solomon Thomas college Highlights, he was a monster, I thought Thomas and Foster were going to be great picks so I was wrong too, it's why the draft is so crazy but intriguing.

The Foster pick I liked especially thinking it was a steal at the end of the 1st, I wanted Watson but I kind of thought Kyle didn't want him because of the so called fit in his system coming from a spread. I had no desire of drafting another dlineman especially one I thought got bumped up that high because he dominated a mediocre UNC team and freaking Trubisky in the Sun Bowl smh. I would've been happy with any other position except dline at the time, s**t I would've even been ok taking Adams a safety at 3 or trading down againOriginally posted by jersey49er:Originally posted by FredFlintstone:Originally posted by Alfienator:Originally posted by jersey49er:Am I the only one that Every time I come in this thread I think about the great players that could've been had ?

Yeah but think about it, Lynch and co haven't changed their thinking, you build through the line, which is true. I was big on Mahomes, Watson and Mike Williams that yr before Thomas.

That is THE exact problem. He absolutely looked great on highlights. But if you watched the entirety of his games, you wouldn't conclude he was a monster. He was invisible a lot of the time. He got bullied some of the time. You just dont ever see that in highlight packages.

I always knew that Solomon was gonna be a bust because he wasn´t gonna play at 3T because we already had Buckner and I knew he was way too slow and stiff to play at DE.
I couldn´t believe that Shanalynch didn´t see it that way.

Same here, it would really really help us this year if he's Solomon Armstead 2.0
