Solly is the ultimate tweener. He's not explosive enough to rush from the edge. Not big enough to anchor the middle. Not good enough with his hands to disengage blocks.

Sucks because he has a high motor and if I recall has played at various weights to try and find a place on the dline but. As a first rounder he's a bust. Not a terrible player, but he's nothing more than average at best.

Agreed. He's really fast in space but he can never get free so it's moot. He's had some "wow I can't believe he caught that guy" moments chasing down various players but not more than a handful.

He's an average player.

Thomas actually didnt play bad against the Cardinals, he was drawing double teams more of what Kinlaw should be doing, watch film and see what he did. The hate is astronomical but as an interior DL his play wont always result in sacks, so we have to throw that out of the window. I was watching a clip of Baldy breaking down Bosa and Thomas stood out on some plays.

It was frustrating to watch Murray doing his Houdini Act. Hard to get a clean shot on that guy - Bosa hit him in the second clip here but just after Murray released the pass.

When you do hit him, you have to be extra careful it's not a personal foul after he throws, slides, etc. I was getting pissed watching Murray after he'd slide pleading to the refs to call a penalty on our D-lineman, who's flying over the top of him and making contact though not heavy contact (you can tell he was trying to avoid Murray). Rules are rules I guess but very frustrating none the less.

Already looking forward to the next time we play these guys and seeing some of the adjustments made by our D vs. Murray and their O.

He seems like he should be in the Justin Smith role in a 3-4. Sigh we were one loss from Myles Garett.

Justin Smith wasn't a tweener and proved he could play in any scheme.

I could care less about him in any way shape or form. yes. just include that on the list of reasons i am going to hell but i do not care. i know there has to be someone out there better than him.. i hope the team signs our second white guy on the d line last year. number 92, the vikings cut him
Hoping for the best, but the way this year is going...

this dude gonna be Jimmie Ward 2.0

Is meh/bust for 5 years, deals with injuries and we'll re-sign him to big fan backlash, then he'll ball put in 2023

Was about to say the same thing. Don't see this team resigning him if he's truly out for the year. Best of luck, maybe some other team will finally use him the right way.

He's a pretty big guy, he should have been used more on the bench to keep it warm for the real players.

Unbelievable. Has to go down as one of the worst top picks of all time. Considering all the talent available
So what's the official word?
