In the end... he was rotational on this D-line... which means he doesn't suck... but you don't pick rotational players in the first round... so, he may still be a 49er next year... If he is, he'll make rotational player money.
I don't see anyone breaking the bank for him in FA. As much as some people hate on Thomas... there's a very strong possibility he's playing for SF in 2021. After all, it's not his fault he was drafted in the Frist... that's on the FO.
Most sensible comment I have ever seen, people talk about these guys saying they suck as if they could easily do the same things. Its a reason why there are hundreds of thousands that play youth and high school and a select few make it to college, an even smaller percentage go D1, an even smaller percentage get drafted and make it to the NFL, an even smaller few last in the NFL, very selected few play at a high NFL level continuously.
