I think he's back on a market one-year deal. And that is just fine.
The issue was his pay to performance gap. That won't be an issue any longer.

I have no interest in bringing back Solomon. I said in this thread I would have rather paid him $4M to go away than $8M to play for us this season. So a market one-year deal is not fine by me. I am wholeheartedly against that idea. Money can and should be spent elsewhere. Dude is a bust of epic proportions.

if this game is based on work habits and attitude alone, then he's worth re-signing.. but it doesn't work that way and we need to get better and it also means that we need to use the money wiser..
i wish him the best of luck and if he becomes a HOF with another team, then be it... the fact is, we made him rich already and he didn't produced enough for us to roll the dice again..

dang, I still can not remove the hand shake between Foster and Solo the day they were brought in to the facility for being our 1st round picks...
and I remember saying
" this gotta be too good to be true, a bigger faster Sapp & Brooks in our back yard... Lynch is building a Tampa D in SF !! "
Thomas was bigger than Sapp?

I can't understand the idea of anyone bringing him back. I held out hope for Thomas for 3 years. All the way up until 2019 where despite an insane pass rush, he still did next to nothing. Just not worth it. We would be better off signing some UDFA and said player would be cheaper than the minimum deal some want to sign Thomas to.

The only good news is he frees up 8M cap space once he hits the road. What a bust.
