I bet he's on the Jets next season.
Why would he join the guy who couldn't figure out how to use him properly?
It's possible that Saleh actually got the best out of him. That's how bad Solly is
Solly was a dominate NT in college, so good he was a consensus top 5 pick and Saleh used him as a RDE for most of his career here.
Personally that's not getting the best out of him but setting him up to fail. Still remember saleh having him cover slot corners only to fail weekly year one.

The point is busts happen. Solomon is a great athlete and in college that will make you look all world but once your lining up against all the best athletes in the world you better have something more than an impressive bench press. Solomon is another workout warrior

I think Thomas is a good player, He is just not worth his draft position. I think we need to put that aside and just look at who he is and that is a good depth player. If Niners could get him to return for cheap I would not object.

I don't think he's a good player. We had UDFAs doing more with their opportunities than Solly.

in 2019, Solly was like our 8th best lineman.

This. If he didn't succeed in 2019 with Buckner, Bosa, Ford, Blair, Jones and even AA balling...he never was. 2019 is when I gave up.

Cut our losses and move on. He will forever be remembered as one of the biggest busts we have ever selected.

Plain and simple this guy just doesn't have it. Which is fine some draft picks just don't make it in the NFL but the reason he obviously gets more heat is cause he was taken with the 3rd over all pick. There's no easy way to say it but this guy is a complete bust. I really don't see the point of bringing him back just let him go and wish him the best. Even if he came back cheap he just isn't worth it.

Agree. Also I'll just add that when you win the lotto you tend to get lazy. Being drafted and getting bunko bucks at a young age can alter their behavior from workout warrior to a party harty person- or at least maybe not as dedicated to working out as he was in college.

DJ Jones and Givens performed a lot better than Thomas and one was a seventh round pick and the other was undrafted. What a shame
