Knowing the 49ers luck, he will probably dominate for another team.

So you aren't a 49ers fan....
I'll take Solly back for a cheap deal. If he wants starter money...good luck.

Would be fun to watch the implosion...

Never understood this way of thinking. Doesn't bother me that a player that wasn't good here has a good season somewhere else.

It would be like when Harbaalke brought back Alex.
Writing is on the wall. And it says gtfo
He'll get brought back. I mean they brought back Jimmie Ward and AA. Anything's possible

I mean don't think there will be much of a market for him. Don't even think Saleh wants or will try for him. If he's back it should be on a vet min one year deal

This. He's a solid rotational player on the inside of the DL, vet minimum is worth it for someone who is familiar with the system.

I'll be honest it would bother me. Not that I wouldn't be happy for Solly but knowing what we spent to get him, to then see him go somewhere else(for WAY cheaper) to then see him break out would be a real kick to the dick.
Personally, I do hope we can resign Thomas. I think his talent is there. We made the mistake of trying to make him into an EDGE rusher, when he's never been. He's better suited on the inside, and he'd be an excellent asset there as a rotational piece.

I am a big solly fan for his off the field work and story. He's done incredible things to reduce the stigma for mental health assistance.

For him, I'd eye a starting 3 tech role on another team. Kinlaw has that job locked up, and it's likely Armstead will see more time at that spot in rotational work.

Great point. There is just no room for him in SF.
