No. Just because he was the 3rd pick doesn't mean he's a bigger bust than Jenkins, Druckenmiller, Balmer, or Woods. They were all far worse and much bigger busts.

Actually it does, when you've had as bad of a season as the Niners did in 2016 when they should've been picking first, you expect to at the very least have a pro bowl caliber player, the players you mentioned were bad but none of them had 3rd overall pick expectations. And none of them had talent like Bosa,Buckner, Armstead, and Ford(when healthy) to help make his job easier and still couldn't produce squat. Thomas apparently gets a pass, because some liked the pick at the time and aren't completely willing to eat crow, he's a nice guy or because they're sympathizing over family tragedy.

Thomas doesn't get a pass.

If you're comparing the 3rd overall pick to a late round pick then share that matters but when you're comparing first round picks or doesn't really matter. Thomas at least gave decent play from time to time and was never really horrible like some are saying.

Jenkins (traded after 1 season) and Balmer (traded after 2 seasons) did nothing and were absolutely horrible thus making them bigger busts.

he is going to the Jets on a 1 year prove it.

Interesting. He should get a chance to play 3tech in Gus Bradley's defense with Max Crosby and Yannick Ngakoue on the edges. They've also got Maurice Hurst inside. That's going to be a damn good DL.

When I watched Solly, excluding all the alignment stuff, I saw a guy who never caught up to the speed of the game. He always appeared as if he was thinking through his movements, which made him mechanical and tipped his hand as a rusher. He was never flowing out there and letting his athleticism take over. He just looked overwhelmed.
