The question wasn't that he was the worst player.. the question was "is ST the worst draft pick". And the answer is, yes.

I have to agree with the consensus
Considering where Thomas was picked it seems to be justified.
I do feel bad for the guy though he did work his tail off to be the best he could.

I hated the pick when it was made. Wanted Mahomes or McCaffrey.

How many super bowls did this franchise cost themselves drafting this guy over Mahomes. And wasn't it because Kyle wanted Cousins? Lynch liked Mahomes.

George Kittle is the only saving grace of that pitiful 2017 draft.
If the draft were done over today, he'd probably be the #3 overall.

Thomas, Foster, Witherspoon, Joe Williams, Beathard. If not for Kittle, this might be the worst 49er draft of all time considering the ammo we had.

We can't have this list without
Rashaun "Bass Boy" Woods
He even sucked at fishing -- $1,562 in career earnings. He could have made way more driving for Uber

Now, we can close the book on that turd ST -- Nice guys do finish last

Not entirely accurate. John Lynch liked Soloman because they were classmates in Stanford

Thomas was actually considered a good pick at the time. Many felt he was chosen a little early at #3 but he was thought to be a solid addition to the line. His versatility was considered an attribute but it turned out to be his downfall. He wasn't big enough to handle the interior or fast enough to play on the outside.
He turned out to be a poor pick at #3 overall and should have been a 2nd or 3rd rounder but it was a decent pick at the time. Like so many other players he didn't pan out.

According to who??? Again, our Dline wasnt anywhere close to our biggest issue at the time.
ST might have been considered a "good (highly debatable)" pick for a Dline needy team but that wasnt us. When you consider who our previous first round picks were, what our biggest needs were, and the QBs that went after...ST is absolutely one of the worst Niners picks.

Well, Since he's Only won one super bowl thus far surrounded by the most talent in the nfl, I'd say one at the most, but we'll never know for sure.

Why is people still comenting here? Thomas is gone, let it go, pretend it never happened and look to the future.
People just looking for excuses to whine.
