Wow you have some great points

It's pretty clear what he means and he shouldn't have to spell it out. I feel the same way. I hate that we drafted 3-4 de's 3 years in a row with our first pick. Having said that Thomas is going to be a good player for us, just wish he played a different position.

you said nothing wrong
Start feeding him 36 ounce steaks 3 times a day paired with an aggressive workout regimen to build him up, particularly his lower body. Twenty pounds of lean power is what this guy needs.

Not only that but you can already see they are going to move all three around on the line depending on down and distance. We never going to see any of them as strictly DE's or DT's its going to be a varied front where anybody can kick out to end or in to tackle depending on how we want to play the matchup game.
The way I see it weather u hate the fact that the 49ers drafted three DL's in the last three drafts, u have to like the fact that he's going to be great and disruptive in the run and pass game where ever he lines up.

Personally, I hated the Arik Armstead pick a couple years ago. Simply put, I felt DL was the 49ers biggest weakness last year, and it just got a lot better. On top of that, the drafting of Foster accentuates that.

I hate how some scouts see this as a weakness. Smart coaches and teams, like the Pats have been stealing these types of players and using them effectively.

Exactly. Everyone is stuck on the "traditional size/weight" but how often do we see guys who aren't your prototypical size players excel in the NFL?

We drafted him, we obviously know how we're going to use him and the other guys on the roster.

I think Armstead is still going to pan out...he was looking really good before the injury and still hung in there with zero NT help through a whole season with a bad wing.

I am actually really looking forward to AA, Buck and Solomon playing ring around the Nose tackle all year.
Where does Blair fit into the 49ers plans?

We'll have to wait and see. He's a 2nd year player that's super cheap unless he looks like crap in camp/preseason I'd say he's in the rotation.

I think he'll pan out, I'm just not sure he will be the impact player I think Buckner and Thomas will be. At the time of the AA draft, I thought he was too raw. I always want the sure thing in the first round and didn't see that in the AA pick. I see that in the last two picks in the first round.

If he is merely really good and the other two are great that is probably acceptable at this point since a lot of people here think he is garbage, but I get what you are saying. Still I think when you look at this line it starts to remind me of the Giants of a few years ago, where they kept adding guys like Osi, and Kiwanuka and folks would go " what do they need him for" and then come game day, they used every single one of them in different situations and moved them all over hell and breakfast.
Sooooo disappointed that we took a DLinemen AGAIN! We better have the greatest Dline of all time & Soloman better play at a hall of fame level or this is gonna look really bad in a few years
